Universal Resin Cement OverCEM SA

OverCEM SA is a multifunctional universal cement designed for zirconia, ceramics, metals, lithium disilicate, posts and composites.

This definitive dual cement eliminates the need to etch the tooth and the use of primer or adhesives, with the advantage of saving time and costs.

With the smallest self-mixing conical T-Mixer available on the market, it allows a 30% reduction in cement waste compared to standard propeller mixing tips.

In cooperation with the University of Bologna, a study was carried out to compare the adhesion of zirconia, lithium disilicate, metal, ceramics and posts between OverCEM SA and the most famous self-adhesive cements Unicem 3M, Speedcem Vivadent, Panavia SA Kuraray, Theracem Bisco. The test results of OverCEM SA cement are exciting, thanks to its innovative formula (patent pending) that gives maximum bonding results without orthophosphoric acid, adhesive or primer.

Characteristics of the Universal Resin Cement OverCEM SA:

  • The smallestT-Mixer mixing tip on the market.
  • Radiopaque, visible inside the channel.
  • High resistance to flexion
  • Dual curing, maximum polymerisation efficiency.
  • Strong and moisture resistant.
  • No post-operative sensitivity.
  • High colour stability for exceptional aesthetics.
  • Auto-mix syringe.
  • Universal Shade Yellow A2.

Usage Times of Universal Resin Cement OverCEM SA:

  • Veneers.
  • Inlays / Onlays.
  • Endocanalar posts.

Instructions for use of OverCEM SA Universal Resin Cement:

Surface restoration treatments with OverCEM SA:

Lithium Disilicate and other glass ceramics:

  • Use 9% hydrofluoric acid gel for 30-60 seconds.
  • Wash with water spray for at least 20 seconds (residual surface acidity can be neutralised with a 5% sodium bicarbonate solution).
  • If desired, apply a suitable silane primer.
  • Finally, air dry with an oil-free flow.

Metals, zirconia, polycrystalline ceramics and hybrid ceramics:

  • Blasting with aluminium oxide crystals 50-80 µm at a pressure of 3-4 bar (2 hybrid barceramics).
  • Subsequently perform an ultrasound treatment in distilled water or ethanol for 3 minutes.

Cemented with OverCEM SA:

  • After the crown try-in, clean and sandblast the inner surface of the restoration.
  • Extrude OverCEM SA until both pastes come out of the syringe in equal amounts.
  • Insert the T-Mixer Regular tip into the syringe and apply the OverCEM SA cement.
  • Carefully place the restoration on the die and wait at least 1 minute for the reaction between cement and substrate.
  • Light cure the excess cement for 1-2 seconds to give it a plastic consistency.
  • Gently remove cement residues with scaler and dental floss.
  • Finish cement polymerisation (20s per surface with lamp >1000mW/cm2).

Cementing of endocanalar posts with OverCEM SA:

  • Extrude OverCEM SA until both pastes come out of the syringe in equal amounts. Mount the T-Mixer Wide + Endo Tip and insert it into the syringe.
  • Inject OverCEM SA into the root canal. Slowly withdraw the tip while keeping it submerged and continue injecting the cement.
  • Distribute the cement evenly over the surface of the post making sure that it is completely covered.
  • Insert the post into the root canal making sure that all surfaces of the tooth are covered with cement.
  • Remove the coloured head with a diamond bur and wet the fibres with a thin layer of cement. Then polymerise the cement for at least 40 sec. Direct the flow parallel to the axis of the pole.
  • Continue the restoration by performing the core build-up with the appropriate compound.
